Heretaunga Marae Waakainga

The Hawke’s Bay District Health Board (HBDHB) is the place no-one wants to have to go to but everyone is grateful its there when they need to go!  Whānau can find out about services and protocols for engaging with the HBDHB system via their website.

It plays a huge part in most people’s life at one time or another and in recent times we have seen the growth and implementation of closer relationships with Māori providers and therefore increased cultural support for whānau.

The HBDHB also has an active Maori development strategy called ruki working to initiate career pathways for Maori health professionals.  Check it out for information if you would like to have a future in Hauora services.

Hohipera and more-
